The most effective way to consider the significant socio-economic impacts of the TAP project is to relate them directly to the United Nations’ historic Sustainable Development Goals which are familiar to the world: www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/

For the 11 countries across the Sahel region of North Africa, TAP supports and can specifically fulfil the SDG for CLEAN WATER & SANITATION. TAP also directly addresses two others: the goals of LIFE ON LAND and LIFE BELOW WATER.

In addition, TAP will have significant corollary impact on 12 more of the UN's SDGs, all briefly described within each goal linked below.
